A PGA Fellow Professional, Peter’s golfing journey began when he was 10 years old. A professional caddy from 1976 to 1989 at Singapore Island Country Club, Peter started golf club fitting in 1999 and was subsequently trained in Golf Business Management, Equipment and Technology Techniques, as well as Golf Rules and Etiquette.

He became a professional golfer at 43 and participated in Barclays Singapore Open and the SPGA Golf Circuit for several years. In 2006, Peter joined Honshin Golf Academy as a director and began coaching at National Service Resort & Country Club. He has since coached at Mandai Executive Golf Course and Seletar Country Club. His skills and extensive knowledge on all aspects of the sport were refined from 40 years of golfing and teaching experience.

From curriculum design to tournament organization and execution, Peter has been heavily involved with the Junior Golf Programmes of country clubs and schools in Singapore. Having taught over 3,000 students to date, ranging from 5 to 70 years old, Peter is known for his passion, patience, and affable demeanour.

Guided by the principle of a solid foundation, Peter believes the right pre-swing practice, proper grip, aim, stance, posture, balance, alignment, and ball position form the basis of a good golf swing. With simple instructions and comprehensive lessons tailored for each student, Peter’s teaching philosophy helps every golfer, regardless of their skill level, to enjoy the learning process and achieve their personal goals.
