General Information

To be read in conjunction with the prevailing Rules of Golf as published by the R & A Rules Ltd.

1. OUT OF BOUNDS (RULE 27)
DENDRO COURSE:
a – 1st hole; beyond the white stakes on the left of the fairway.
b – 2nd hole; beyond the fence bounding the left of the fairway, the out of bounds line is determined by the nearest inside points of the fence posts at ground level.
c – 3rd hole; beyond the white stakes on the left of the fairway.
d – 4th hole; beyond the white stakes on the left side all the way to the back of the green
e – 9th hole; on or beyond the cart path behind the green extending to the right towards the chipping green area marked by white stakes.

VANDA COURSE:
a – 9th hole; on or beyond the white stakes on the right of the green

ARANDA COURSE:
a – 1st hole; beyond the white stakes on the right of the fairway.
b – 3rd hole; right of the fairway starting from the edge of the pond extending to the back of the green marked by white stakes.
c – 4th hole; on the right of the fairway from the tee box all the way to the water edge of the pond marked by white stakes.
d – 4th hole; beyond the fence bounding the course.
e – 5th hole; beyond the fence on the right of the fairway.

NOTE:
(a) Where out of bounds is defined by white stakes or fence posts (excluding angle support) the line joining the nearest inside points at ground level of such stakes or posts defines the boundary. A ball is out of bounds when all of it lies over such line.
(b) When any continuing or adjoining white lines are in existence, it defines the boundary. A ball is out of bounds when all of it lies on or over such line.

2. WATER HAZARDS (including lateral water hazards (Rule 26)

Lateral water hazards are defined by red lines and/or adjoining red stakes. When a lateral water hazard is bounded by out of bounds, the hazard margin extends to and coincides with the boundary.

3. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (RULE 24-2)

Tee signs, light masts, OG boxes, life buoy posts and all drains including the metal gratings except where so marked as a hazard or lateral water hazard.

4. FREE LIFT (RELIEF WITHOUT PENALTY) (Rule 25-1)

Through the green, a ball may be lifted and dropped within one club length from the nearest point of relief, unless dropping zones are provided but not nearer the hole.
a – Ground marked with GUR signs or white lines.
b – Young trees marked with orange stakes.
c – Flowerbeds marked with “Flower Bed” signs or blue lines/stakes and/or surrounded by black rubber strips.

5. EDGING GROOVE

If a ball lies on an edging groove around a putting green, the player may, without penalty, lift the ball, clean it and place it out of the groove in the nearest position to where it lay, whether on or off the putting green, which is not nearer the hole. If a ball lies on edging groove that is between the APRON AND FAIRWAY CUT, for the lie of the ball and area of intended swing only and not for stance, the ball may be lifted, cleaned and DROPPED within 1 club length from its original position not nearer the hole and not on the putting green or in a hazard.

6. EMBEDDED BALL (RULE 25-2)

A ball embedded in its own pitch mark through the green may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, without penalty as near as possible to the spot where it lay, but not nearer the hole.

7. DRAINS

Drainage channels adjacent to and parallel to golf cart paths are treated as one obstruction.

8. STONES IN BUNKERS

Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (RULE 24-1 applies)

9. WASTE AREA/BUNKER AT ARANDA HOLE 5

Waste area/bunker is a sandy area identified with Pampas grass. Rules pertaining to hazards do not apply. A player whose ball lies in a waste area/bunker may ground his club and remove loose impediments from it but there is no free relief when the ball is embedded in sand.

10. STAKES / LINES

a – White – Out of Bounds.
b – Red – Lateral Water Hazards.
c – Yellow – Water Hazards.
d – Orange & Blue – Protected Trees.

NIGHT GOLFING

To enhance your golfing experience of playing Night Golf at OCC, you will be pleased to note the Local Rules adopted for Night Golfing:
a – If a ball is out of bound or lost, the players may, under penalty of one stroke, play a ball near the spot from which the ball is believed to be out of bound or lost.
b – These scores cannot be submitted for generation of Handicapping.

COURSE REGULATIONS

BUGGY RULES
a – Buggies must not be driven inside control lines or ropes around the greens.
b – Buggies must be driven on buggy paths whenever practicable.
c – Buggies are not permitted outside the golf course and must not be driven in the car parks or on public roads.
d – Buggies must not be driven by persons under 18 years of age.
e – Not more than 2 persons and 2 golf bags are permitted per buggy.

CONDITIONS OF PLAY
a – All golfers must be suitably attired, in accordance with the Club’s byelaws.
b – Use of buggies is compulsory.
c – Practicing on the golf course is prohibited.
d – Not more than 4 golfers are allowed per flight and each must have a set of clubs.
e – Golfers are expected to complete each nine holes in accordance with the Pace of Play stipulated by the Club.
